About the event

Second meetup of the Functional Forum - The Netherlands

Because of the developments of the Covid-19 situation and the restrictions different countries are introducing, we decided to use the power of technology and organise the next event as an online event.

While we are not happy about it, we do think it is the safest option for for all of us and the people we are in contact with.

This will definitely not be the in-person meeting we have in mind for our forums, however it will give us the opportunity to meet with a larger group all across the Netherlands!

We'd like to keep also this second event for FM practitioners only, so that we have more chances to discuss how to bring the Functional Forum - The Netherlands forward.

Since it would not really make sense to use our time together to watch a presentation at the same time, we kindly ask you to watch the presentation from the Functional Forum at your convenience before the meet-up!

The presentation is:

Jeff Bland, PhD "Lifestyle and environment as information for our genes"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUZKGN462yM&t=46s

And here are some details about what we are going to do!

- 19:00 - 19:10. Introduction to the Functional Forum - The Netherlands

- 19:10 - 19:20. Short round of introductions

- 19:20 - 19:40. Discussion about the presentation

- 19:40 - 20:20. Brainstorming session:

  • Discuss mission and objectives of the Functional Forum- The Netherlands
  • Come-up with topics for the next events so that we can select presentations from FF to watch as well as find volunteers in our group who would like to give presentations.

- 20:20 - 20:30. Wrapping up and greetings.

Do you already have any specific topic that you would like to be discussed during one of our forums? Please, get in touch with us!

We look forward to "meeting" you soon!
